So you know how you all thought the attack algorithm was completed after you choose the attack? Well I think that was changed in Platinum.
So I'm fighting Fantina. She is about to send out a Haunter. I currently have a Grotle that I plan to use bite to rape it with, I keep him out. Haunter uses a successful hypnosis
Now me being underlevelled, I decided to try my luck with a savestate. It's my only pokemon that can even scratch her. I reloaded the savestate FIFTY times from the "Do you want to change pokemon" message. EVERY SINGLE TIME, that fucking Haunter landed a perfect Hypnosis. 60 accuracy. That is bullshit out of 50 attempts.
Oh but it didn't end there. I used some switching tactics to get around that fucking Hunater and she goes to send out Mismagius. At this point I don't trust the game to calculate on the fly so I make a savestate. EVERY SINGLE TIME WITHOUT FAIL, if I switched to Ponyta to put on a Fire Spin, it would land a successful Confuse Ray, and I would get hurt in confusion. Out of FIFTY tries.
This is a total of 100 examples of absolute horse shit. The game should not be calculating attacks, attack hit %, and status probabilities that fucking early. There is no goddamn excuse.
But here's what threw me for a loop: On the fiftieth try (holding in a burning sun's worth of rage) I switch off to my Machop. She uses fucking Psybeam. A completely different attack.
SO THE GAME IS NOT CALCULATING EARLY IT'S JUST CHEATING.
