    Kaysi Poetry~

Post by Kikyo_Cat on Mon Jan 26, 2009 3:53 pm

    Alright. Well I haven't written a poem in a long time :\
I'm not going to post my old poems unless people decide they want to see them.
They're from 4-5 years ago when I was really depressed, emo, and suicidal.
THANK GOD I'M OUT OF THAT STAGE.. Ew.

Anyways, Here's two I wrote like a year ago? I liked this guy, but it was a huge mistake and I can't believe I thought I liked him at all. Ew. But the poems turned out nice then so at least I got something good out of that. <3 It was an online thing, to help explain it.

    Spoiler:
A thousand words but no reply

"I can't believe she loves that guy"

    The memories all blown away

He lied to her – he said he'd stay!

A love so deep; you can't compare

That girl would smile when he was there

He looks right through – a solid ghost

But he's the one she loves the most

Her smiles fade – her heart is dying

The boy won't look to see her crying

But all the love that she is caught in

That man; her love – he has forgotten.

    Spoiler:
    It's hurting me - I've fallen down

I cant get up! I'm on the ground!

My heart; it stopped! I'm petrified-

You said you'd stay - Instead you lied

Though all alone; I'm crying now

But I cant stop - I dont know how!

I doubt you care; it's just no use

I'm still in love - what's your excuse?

The way you act, it's just not fair!

Just look at me; how much I care!

I'm lost in love - the thickest mist

Pay me no mind. I dont exist...
    ^ Ignore how emo that sounds too actually <<;

Alright I decided to post one more :\
this was written October 2006 lol

for anyone who knows me, it kind of explains a little.
(but here I guess that would just be Trevlac.)

    Spoiler:
Afraid of monsters under my bed
Afriad of clowns, their noses so red

Afraid of spiders, their legs oh so long
Afraid of my mommy 'cause she did me wrong

My mommy once told me that she loved me so
But those feelings are gone, as I grow and grow

That love has gone since before I was nine
The bruises have shown, as some type of sign

For all of my hate I blame her for it all
Because of my mommy my heart took a fall

She's not the one that I love oh so much
She'll never be there with a gentle touch

My mommy will hurt me much more then before
The hurt that she gave me, there is but no cure

I fear 'cause my mommy, it hurts all the time
Afriad of affection before I was nine.

Nah they all take me a long time despite being so short.
    I can't write a poem that isn't rhyming, because that's my thing.

and I never write now because I usually need to be in a certain state of mind or whatever to really like get all of my emotions into a poem the way I want to.

I'm working on a poem but kind of put the working on it on halt for now.
my ex-boyfriend died and I'm writing a poem to give his mother.
I just need to finish it.

I drew a picture and I'm basically going to have the poem IN the picture, like an in memory of him thing. The picture turned out alright but it's hard to write the poem; because I'm trying to make it not depressing? And I've never written a poem that's like extremely all happy. Especially since it's a memory of him because he died.. I just don't know how to put it together.

I was going to ridicule you, but then you said your ex-boyfriend died. if my ex died i'd suck on a shotgun. were you guys close?

The best way to write a happy poem is to just go nuts. structured thoughts have no place in poetry (or, in my opinion, prose--but that's a different topic all together). Check out the thread with some of my poetry, the "Liberal Jewish Media" one. They're all very serious topics, but are mostly presented in a goofy way.

The more you write the more you'll develop a knack and a style. Keep working on it and you'll get the hang of it.

Yeah, I was close with his entire family but the relationship was like 4 or 5 years ago. His family was like a second family to me and everything and we haven't spoken since then; but I always missed him :\ I just found out he died over winter break when I sent his mom an email asking how everyone; how highschool was for him, etc.

She replied back telling me that he had died, and I found newspaper articles on it and stuff online.

So I don't know, just the fact that I've just always cared about him and his family makes me want to write the poem, the only reason I hadn't contacted them before then was because I told him I wouldn't. We were both really hurt after we broke up so we decided not to even try to be friends, well he decided that. Not that I could have handled that though. I'll get the poem written when I'm thinking about it enough, with something like that I pretty much end up crying as soon as I start though, and I hate writing at home but in this case I guess I need to.

Sam and I were JUST talking about what you'd do if either of us died.

Yeah, I think about it every once in a while to try and come up with a different answer, but it's always the same. Especially now that we've moved in together, she's my family. Without her around I'd be completely lost in a sea of confusing stimuli. The only way to fix that is a warm bath and toaster water wings.

I'd probably kill myself if you died too. I mean, who can disagree with me intelligently and keep my arguments in check? You're the one who convinced me to stop being Christian, agree that cannabis should be legalized, stop judging people, and force me to back my arguments with real verifiable fact before presenting them. Without you, I have no adversary, no challenge, nothing to change by.

I'd find new, less emo friends.

    FAGS!

Actually, yeah, I'd probably do a shitload of acid, cover myself in gasoline, and run into a mormon church on fire, hug an elder.
